It would have been hard to find a better framework for a volume developing from PIMo research on “paper in motion” than the book series published by the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano, an institution which represents a city and an industrial activity with a tradition of centuries. The historical weight and cultural relevance of Fabriano turn it into an iconic location for the history of paper in Europe which is hard to match.
